BODY LANGUAGE and STATEMENT ANALYSIS on CHRIS PRODFOOT/KATIE PROUDFOOT

BX ANALYSIS/body language and statement analysis on CHRIS PROUDFOOT AND KATIE PROUDFOOT

(specific to missing child SEBASTIAN ROGERS)

______________________________________________________

INITIAL INTERVIEW:

- stepfather comes across as CONTROLLING

-stepfather felt the need to portray the home as "good" and "loving"

- parents inserted the narrative that he "WALKED OUT THE DOOR"

-coordinated language between both parents in interview

-stepfather is very talkative in all interviews. However, the content, of the language, shows a

defensive/aggressive attitude, and a focus on "me" vs. the missing child

- stepfather has difficulties with strong, opinions, grilling him. Very defensive

- Bio father disclosed an instance in which Sebastian was sexually abused at age 8, by another

child 5 years older, under Katie and John Proudfoot's roof/on their watch

- stepfather, aware of S/A intentionally emasculates Sebastian calling/taunting him, calling

him a "pedophile." Speaks to the tension in the relationship between step-father and Sebastian.

Tends to reflect anger, jealousy, and what a "problem" Chris saw Sebastian on day to day basis.

SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD and a STEPFATHER

_____________________________________________

- Makes entire family dynamics different when Katie re-marries after separating from Seth,

Sebastian's bio. dad. Katie Proudfoot and Seth Rogers have "joint custody." It appears that

the bio. father has made changes in his life to live around his son and his needs.

What emotional investment would Chris Proudfoot have in Sebastian? Is he seen as an adversary,

an obstacle to his relationship with Katie? Stepfather wants to be in charge of the household, and

controlling the bx of everyone in the house.

RED FLAGS that are CONSTANT

______________________________________________

1. Chris Proudfoot's arrogance in the face of a missing child; behavior not expected to be seen

2. Chris has been married 5 different times. If nothing else, speaks to inability to maintain

close relationships with an intimate partner.

3. In interviews, Chris Proudfoot is concerned with CHRIS. Impression management.

4. subtle guilt language

5. Chris Proudfoot is running "the show", little is about the missing child, centered on self

6. 10 pm "thud". Why the word "thud"; has a certain meaning or inference behind it.

7. DELAY IN REPORTING THE CHILD MISSING of hours

8. When Sebastian was not in his bed in the morning, as mother says, SHE DOES NOT CALL 911

in the moments directly after discovering, or any time thereafter.

9. Stepfather, who is allegedly, over 3 hours away, makes the call to the Sheriff's Department

verses calling the 911 system (does this move buy them more time?)>

10. Stepfather is the one that calls biological father to inform him his child is missing;

not KATIE, THE MOTHER.

CONSIDERATIONS

______________________

1. BAREFOOT: why would a child who hated being barefoot, LEAVE, BAREFOOT?

This doesn't appear concerning to mother or stepfather, and deeply upset biological dad.

Goes against his every instinct/fear to leave the house barefoot into a dark night.

2. the temperature that evening was 24 degrees

3.  lack of empathy and compassion in all language and actions regarding Sebastian

4. Sebastian had a traumatic experience with being barefoot outside with fire ants;

again points to the unlikelihood the child left willingly, nor barefoot.

5. Stepfather has done all the talking to police, bio dad, and in interviews. He dominates

the conversations, pushes his narrative, and comes across as combative and angry.

6. Chris seems confident in his ability to manipulate other people (namely Katie)

7. Katie's submissive body language in the presence of the domineering Chris Proudfoot
