PROFILE OF KOURI RITCHENS (PERSONALITY PROFILE)

Kouri Darden-Ritchens

DOB; 4/2-/97

Currently stands accused of a multitude of crimes; the most serious of which is second degree murder. Among the other crimes Kouri is facing, in conjunction with the murder allegations, she has been charged with mortgage and insurance fraud, forgery, and attempted murder; as, two weeks before his actual death (on Valentine's Day, 2023).

-a lawsuit was filed, personally, against Kouri Ritchens, by Katie Richens-Benson; Eric's sister. She was listed as the personal representative of Eric's estate, accused Kouri of stealing thousands of dollars from Eric's bank account. Accuses Kouri of stealing/borrowing from Eric in LARGE amounts. Accuses Kouriof stealing 225k from Eric's business account.

-Katie Richens-Benson also, in a separate lawsuit, had Kouri arrested, for simple assault; the day after Eric's murder.Kouri and Katie were arguing about Kouri trying to break in to Eric's safe, assaulting Katie, and stealing the money inside the safe.

DETAILS/surrounding circumstancesPRIOR TO MURDER

1.Details prior to Eric's death painted a picture of a paranoid mom, walking on eggshells

around his wife. Meanwhile, behind Eric's back, Kouri was making secret financial agreements and 

has shown Kouri to involved with purchasing controlled substances on at least 3 occasions.

2. Shortly before Eric's death, Kouri was able to access his life insurance policy, through work, unbeknownst to Eric. She originally changed his policy to reflect leaving all his business assets herself. The insurance company that Eric has the policy through, notified Eric, that someone was making changes on his life insurance policy through work. Eric stated that the changes were unauthorized and without merit. So, during the same pone call, Eric changed his Exectuor to his sister, Katie Richnes, removing Kouri completely. Eric also took his money assets from work in trust funds for each of his three children; also making them inaccessible to Kouri. Kouri, however, remained under the impression that the changes she made, still stood. And, in the even of Eric's death, Kouri was under the impression that his work life insurance was "all set" and ready for her to collect upon the death of Eric Ritchens.

3.  One year before her husband's death, Kouri opening a minimum of 6 life insurance policies

in her husband's name; naming herself as the sole beneficiary.

4. Evidence suggests that Eric met with a divorce attorney in October of 2020. He shared with his "then attorney" that he was under the impression that his wife was poisoning him/trying to kill hiim.

5. 2016 was a pivotal year for Kouri in terms of her finances becoming unmanageable. There were allegations from Eric that Kouri had begun to steal money from Eric's Masonry Company; upwards of $250K. Without consent.

6. Forged and fraudulently took out multiple insurance policies on her husband, and trues to gain control, tries to gain power of attorney, from Eric, to move money around.

POST INCIDENT/MURDER

1. Kouri's bx changed immediately. Within 24 hours, after Eric's death, Kouri was already drilling into a safe, where Eric kept money, in his garage. Eric's sister confronted Kouri, and this lead to Kouri escalating and assaulting Eric's sister. Charges of assault were filed.

2. Kouri demonstrates terrible impulse control/love immediate gratification

3. Kouri showed no grief, or remorse, according to family, after Eric's death

4. Kouri capitalized on a a death, that she potentially caused, by deciding to write a book,

based, allegedly, "her grief experience", or her "family's grief experience" and monetizes the opportunity by selling the grief book on Amazon (called "ARE YOU WITH ME?"

5. Purposefully angers others in order to manipulate them

6. Kouri shows apathy and indifference

7. Kouri behaved erratically; ranging from violent, impulsive, and possible was using controlled substances herself and the "occasional THC gummy"

8. Kouri has little to no personal accountability/personal responsibility

BELIEF AND MORAL SYSTEMS OF KOURI RITCHENS

1. Kouri has a habit of disregarding or ignoring right vs. wrong

2. Kouri told multiple lies, to multiple people, in order to take advantage of others

3. Kouri is behaving insensitively to others; members of Eric's family

4. Kouri uses charm/wit to manipulate others for her personal gain or pleasure

5. Kouri appears, through patterns of bx, that she has a superiority complex

6.Kouri has no problem expressing feelings of hostility. Sometimes becoming physically aggressive, violent, and made multiple threats to members of Eric's family

COMPLICATING FACTORS

1. spousal abuse, past poisoning attempts

2. Kouri had some dependency on pills and alcohol at times

3. Kouri was not an emotional stable person. She had little control over her emotions, and desperately wanted all the power and control in the family/relationship for herself.

4. 2016 and onward, Kouri's finances had officially become out of control. Kouri was continuing to lose money on her projects with her real estate firm.

4. Kouri, through repeating patterns of behavior, was OBSESSED with power and control.

5. Kouri was proven to be deceitful, manipulative

6. Kouri often violates the boundaries physical, emotional, etc. in order to violate their rights and potentially to attempt to intimidate others.
