A PROFILE OF CHARACTERISTICS OF A MALE DOMESTIC ABUSER

    Domestic abuse tends to manifest itself, in violence, when the

perpetrator feels as though they are "losing control", or perceived 

control, of the woman/relationship. Notably, 75% increase in

potential violence upon immediate separation; of which this 

potential for violence persists for up to 2 years after the end

of the relationship.


FORMS OF ABUSE

5. may "make" her do illegal things

1. this is done by making her afraid by using looks, actions,

gestures

4. making her think she's crazy/gaslighting

5. humiliating her

6. blaming/dumping guilt on her

ISOLATION

1. control over what/when she drives, who she sees, talks to

2. limiting interactions she has with friends and family

3. using jealousy to justify actions

MINIMIIZING

1. not taking abuse seriously

2. denying abuse ever happened
