PROFILE OF ALI ABULABAN; the jealous and insecure man
_______________________________________
Background story that led to crime: Both Ali, and his wife, Ana,
were "famous" on Tik Tok. Initially Ali did videos on Ana's channel,
but eventually created his own. It consistent mostly of satire,
famous movie character impressions; namely Tony Montana from
Scarface.
After five years of marriage, problems seem to keep popping
up, and were repeated sources of contention. However, instead
of working on their individual selves, or couples counseling,
Ali started being physically aggressive toward Ana; sometimes
with her friends in the room. Perhaps, due to his alter-ego, that he
played as Tony Montana on Tik Tok, Ali began using hundreds of
dollars worth of cocaine on a daily basis. When his wife, Ana,
asked him to move out, that the marriage was over, Ali did so
without much of a fight. However, as, daily, Ali's cocaine use
got worse, in the spiral of losing his wife, and paranoia. Ali began
carrying a gun on his pants/concealed carrying a gun as well;
everywhere she went. Ali became more desperate to gain Ana's
attention and affection, but she continued to tell him she wanted
nothing more to do with him. Ali also, unbeknownst to Ana,
had made a copy of the key card to exit/enter the resident.
Unbeknownst to Ana, Ali had the ability to enter and exit her
apartment without her knowledge. Additionally, Ali had used the
computer belonging to his 5 year old child, an I-Pad, where he
installed a "spying app." He placed the computer under the bed,
unbeknownst to anyone, and he had an "open line" of
communication to listen to any and all conversations inside's
Ana's apartment. The "catalyst" to this double murder, was Ali
hearing Ana having a conversation, with another man, which
he overheard spying on her. In Ali's mind, this talking back and
forth he translated, in his jealous perception, to mean that Ana
was having sex with another man. Upon hearing Ana talking with
another man, Ali got dressed, with his gun, with his cocaine, and
immediately drove over to Ana's apartment. He used his card
that he had made to enter the apartment; taking all by surprise.
And, while recording, on his cell phone, within 3 seconds of
opening the door, Ali murdered both his estranged wife, Anna, but
her male friend as well.
