STATEMENT ANALYSIS OF JOHN PAUL MILLER (Pastor)

Background: Pastor John P. Miller, started "courting"/"grooming" his wife, Mica Miller. When the pastor and Mica first met, John was 30 years old, married, with four children. Mica, when they first met, was only 14 year old. She happened to be in the Pastor's Youth Group.

  John Paul Miller is a self-proclaimed "pastor", who owns his church, the land it sits on, and controls the entire sermon, topics, and puts together the programs. Having recently moved around some financial assets, John Paul purchased a decent plot of land, where signs declare, "Future home Of" (his church).

   The couple was married in 2017, and, ironically, that seems to be when they started experiencing problems in the marriage. Mica has made allegations, and given affidavits, supporting her claims that she was a victim of emotional, verbal, and physical abuse, at the hands of her husband. These remarks were committed to journals, told to family members, and friends at such time.

   While Mica was making claims that her husband made her take illegal drugs against her will, and her husband's assertion that she was diagnosed with Bipolar 2, Schizophrenia, and Dependent Personality Disorder, and claims he was a dutiful and faithful husband that was there by Mica's side through her "hallucinations", her paranoia, and all her "suicide attempts." Mica's family eluded to her husband always trying to control the narrative of the story.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS:

March 11 2024: MICA contacts police to report that for the second time this week she had found what appeared to be a razor blade stuck in her tire; which was deflated. A police report was taken and documented on that date. Mica noted to the officers, that her husband, whom she was in the process of divorcing, and getting a restraining order against, was whom she suspected of having slashed her tires on both occasions. 

-same day: Mica takes car to car dealership to have tire repaired. The mechanics let Mica know 2 things right away: 1. what she thought was a razor blade in her tire, was actually something that could be purchased online; and its sole purpose was to intentionally deflate tires. 2. Mechanics also notified Mica that when they raised the car, to change a tire, they located a GPS tracker, that Mica was unaware was attached to her car.

SAME DAY, March 11, 2024: Mica leaves dealership, and goes to gas station. Her husband, soon, thereafter, "showed up" at gas station. Mica was saying to him; "Stop harassing me, stop following me, I don't want anything to do with you." Mica for the second time that day, called the police. When the police showed up, Mr. Miller took off. Mica explained to this officer about the devices located on her car, then husband's arrival, and stressed that she was in fear for her life, as her husband kept calling, harassing, threatening her. From the gas station, she went to the Magitrate's office to attempt to file a protection order.

March 17, 2024: John Paul's entire sermon was about how "divorce is wrong", "bible says it's wrong." (ironically, this is his 2nd marriage).

March 18, 2024: Mica makes Facebook video encouraging others to stay strong in the face of abuse, gaslighting, etc. She states, "so, God doesn't like divorce..bc it hurts people. You know what else hurts people? Abuse." (referencing self). She stands up for herself, her choices, and not tolerating any form of abuse.

March 28, 2024: Mica makes another lengthy video on Facebook discussing how she is keeping a low profile, making positive changes and choices. In the video, she expresses positivity, hope, and her plans for life in the future. Mica, with her church, had recently become baptized, and had been actively doing mission work overseas. Mica had plans to continue her mission work in Kenya in the near future. Mica had already shipped some of his belongings to Kenya in anticipation of a future church mission

April 23, 2024: Mica files for divorce, alimony, and a restraining order. All indications were that she was closing one chapter in her life, and was beginning a new and separate life without her husband.

April 25, 2024: NOTICES filed by Mica are sent out, and John Paul is served with this paperwork on this day

April 27, 2024: Mica found dead in park in North Carolina, approximately one hour from where she was living.

April 28, 2024: Pastor, after preaching an entire sermon, announces to his congregation, that his wife "was dead, due to self infliction." The pastor was never told, at such time, that she took her own life. It CONTINUES to be under investigation.

(how would he know her cause of death before the autopsy results?)

May 2, 2024: Pastor gives new interview to local tv station. While stating that he loves his wife, but continues to disparage her about mental illness, her personal struggles, and how he tried his best to save her from herself.

May 6, 2024: AUTOPSY results are complete. Her cause of death was released as self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

STATEMENT ANALYSIS

1. 'I have a mentally troubled wife."

-this is something he announces to his congregation on a regular basis, in the absence of his wife, with no supporting tangible proof.

2. "I took care of her when she was mentally unstable. I took care of her every time she quit lithium. I would never expose this stuff, if I didn't have to now, BUT, I tried to be there every time she tried to kill herself."

-paints himself as the martyr, while disparaging his wife, and inserting subjective information, without proof, and again, deliver this message publicly to his congregation (beginning to build his own narrative, his own story, to the congregation).

3. Mica stated the following to her sister: "IF I am found, with a bullet in my head, he did it."

-automatically, given her cause of death as released by the forensic examiner, was a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Police had informed him, when she was found, on that date, but never told John Paul that it was done by her own hand. Only that she was found shot. SO, how did JP KNOW the AUTOPSY RESULTS before they were released; that he delivered as truth, to his congregation the day after being informed of her death.

CAUSES FOR CONCERN/CONSIDERATION

1. why is the husband's account of how his wife's state of mind, at the time, of her alleged suicide? Is that accurate when compared to her online posts, activities she was engaging in, and or in comments made to friends and family? IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO align at all with the suggestions, put out as fact, by her husband,

the pastor.

2. Mica filed several police reports and a restraining order against John Paul. She complained, in the weeks before her death, that she was hiding from JP, keeping a low profile, staying with friends, but also disclosed her hopes and goals for the future. He was thought to have been stalking her, via this GPS tracker on her car. Mica also complained about JP's excessive and never-ending attempts to reach her by phone to harass her. She stated she would block each new number that he called on, but he always found a way to call. She stressed to police that she was in fear for her life.

3.Why is his narrative so different than his? WHY Does he feel the need to tell his story to large audiences; ie his congregation, and tv interview audience? HE Uses this opportunity to get ahead of the narrative, and use the platforms given to spread his narrative, and his alone. She is DEAD, and can no longer speak for herself. In addition to what he said in tv interviews, and to his congregation, he was seen out at a bar, 2 days after wife's death with a different, younger woman, within his same congregation. It has been confirmed this is his girlfriend. Did he ALREADY have a girlfriend when he was married?
