PROFILE OF #RACHELMORIN 's MURDERER (arrested yesterday)

 PROFILE OF #RACHELMORRIN's MURDERER

______________________________________________________

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Rachel Morin, age 37, was stalked,

raped, and murdered around 11:30 am, on the popular Ma And Pa

Hiking Trails near Bel Air, Maryland, just under a year ago.

Rachel's boyfriend, at that time, contacted 911 to report her

missing, as she had not come home by dinner time, and none of

children, friends or family could get in touch with Rachel.

In / around 24 hours later, Rachel's murdered body, with blunt

force trauma, from a rock, being repeatedly smashed against her

face with a large rock that naturally existed in the area. Law

Enforcement were able to successfully gather a sufficient DNA,

to render a single male profile. The DNA was put into CODIS,

there was a match; but not a traditional one. The DNA from

Rachel's rape kit came back as a match to a sexual assault

to a home invasion that resulted in a the rape of a 9 year old

female and the DNA that was recovered from her sexual assault

kit. At that juncture, with CODIS, they were able to link to rapes

on the East and West Coast. In the interim of the furtherance

of the investigation, Forensic profilers were brought in to come

lay out the profile of behavior one might expect from this

individual.

PROFILING THE KNOWN KILLER BASED ON BX

_________________________________________________________

1. suspect was believed to have been stalking FEMALES,

perhaps not Rachel in particular. So he was "stalking" in the

form hiding and laying in wait for whatever victim he chooses.

2. The Los Angeles attack was his first escalation from the

original home invasion. Not only did he pull off a home invasion,

but, this was the first known time, that the suspect had

escalated into realms of sexual perversions and indulging them.

3. Rachel's attack was one where the element of surprise was

used against her to render her further unable to fight off the

suspect. A "blitz attack."

4. The suspect had more than basic knowledge of the lay out

of the park, best places to hide, without being noticed. He

seemed to have knowledge of the "tunnels" that run through

the park; where Rachel's remains were actually found.

5. weapon was a weapon of opportunity; he used a large rock,

that was already present in the terrain in which he took Rachel's

life and left her body.

6. The escalation from home invasion, to rape, and later, murder.

This escalation is exactly what makes him dangerous.

7. likelihood that he will "lay low" after crimes, but is a

a risk of further rape and murder.

8. Suspect appears to be in his early 20'a (turns out, he's 23)

9. Willing to commit crime in the early morning hours, and also

wiling to take risks to commit such crimes. Comfortable working/

committing crimes during both daylight hours, and night hours.
