On February 24, 2020, Jorge Torres Jr., a 42-year-old American man died in Winter Park, Florida, when his girlfriend Sarah Boone tricked him into going inside a suitcase then she zipped it tight. Torres suffocated to death after his girlfriend, then 42-year-old Sarah Boone zipped him into the suitcase, and then filmed his suffering. Later she went upstairs without realizing or caring that he would not be able to get out of the suitcase himself. Following Torres's death, Boone was questioned but not arrested until the following day when she voluntarily went into another police interview.

Boone was subsequently charged with second-degree murder for killing Torres. Held in Orange County jail without bail, she has written letters to the trial judge stating that she has not been represented fairly; she has been through eight different attorneys. She is expected to use the battered woman defense at her trial. A trial date has been set for October 7, 2024.[6][7][8]
INCIDENT: On February 25, 2-2-, Sarah Boone called 911 and
told them that her boyfriend, Jorge, Torres, was dead. Boone
claimed that Torres and herself had consumed a single bottle
of wine and then decided to play hide-and-seek. She claimed that
they thought it would be funny to pit him in the suitcase, and that
they were both laughing. She stated that she then went upstairs
and accidentally fell asleep, leaving Torres in the suitcase.
Torres death was ruled a homicide.
Boone was not arrested the day the she alleged to have found him
in the suitcase and called the police. The following day she
was asked to go the police station for an interview. During the
interview, forensic investigators asked for her phone; which,
she willingly surrendered to them; and, it was searched. During
the search, two videos were located that Boone had filmed the
night before on her cell phone. Sarah stated she did not remember
taking the videos, and she she states she did not try to delete
the videos. In the infamous video, taken by Boone, Sarah can be
heard taunting the victim, who is clearly in the suitcase, in
distress, tell Boone he cannot breathe and wants to be let out
of suitcase; repeatedly. Sarah, in turn, does nothing, but
repeatedly drunkenly laugh at the victim and say angry things
toward the victim.

Sarah's prolific letter writing to the judge has been one of
her biggest hindrances to her own trial moving forward. She
has a pattern of sending SCATHING letters to the judge,
seemingly, humiliate the attorney (any attorney) that is
currently representing her. Sarah has never been satisfied
with any one of her NOW 8th lawyer, 4 years after her initial
incarceration. Sarah has been her own biggest hindrance to
the trial proceeding on track or in a timely manner. No lawyer
has ever been satisfactory to her. And, in each instant, Sarah gets
to write a letter to the judge, hurling allegations, about various
attorneys that have/do represent her. Sarah has "cleverly (?)
manipulated the note writing process to the AUDIENCE of
OF THE PUBLIC. That is her one and only target audience.
It's the same vicious cycle, rinse, repeat. See below letter
as is written in Sarah Boone's own handwriting, an example of
one, of MANY, of her difficulty taking accountability, pointing
fingers of blame at others, and never being satisfied no matter
who represents her. Themes of entitlement and NARCISSCISM
just ring like a bell throughout the letter. As does her anger;
and belief that she that she is somehow above others in
intelligence. As, she always seems to be talking down to people
