WHAT IS "HAND DOMINANCE?"

  All of us have biases when it comes to our dominant hand;

with which they typically write.  When it comes our dominant

hand, it is often influenced by our upbringing in combination

with societal norms. The following questions are a "self-test"

set of questions to gage one's hand dominance. Some of your

own answers may surprise you.

QUESTIONS


1. YOUR BACK ITCHES; which hand do you use to scratch it

with?


2. Lock your fingers in the PRAYER position. Which thumb is

on top?


3. CLAP YOUR HANDS. What hand is on top?


4. WINK at someone. Which eye did you use to wink?


5. CLASP your hands BEHIND your back. Which hand is on

top?


6. CUP your ear to hear better. Which ear did you use?


7. With your fingers, count to three. Which hand did you use?


8. Tilt your head over to one shoulder. Which shoulder touches

your head?


9. Point at a distant object with your finger, and then switch 

eyes. Which eye keeps your finger aligned with the object?


10. Fold your arms. Which arm is on top?
